MY SORAYA DE CARVALHO INSPIRATIONAL LOOK...

"I am the vine and you're the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you'll bear much fruit; apart from me you're nothing."
John 15:5

It's no secret that sometimes I need inspiration when it comes to dressing up. As women we just sometimes don't know what to wear. Right?

GAMU NHENGU IS BACK...

Do you remember Gamu Nhengu who got dismissed from X Factor 2012? Her dismissal caused so much controversy and as if that wasn't enough, the girl's family were hit with deportation after the Home Office refused to renew their visa application.
Well I'm glad to say she's back! Yes they won their immigration battle...yippiee!!

Her new single (Shake the Room) is out on iTunes and I'm loving the jazzy, groovy song. She's working it in the video and gal still got it.

Check it out Below

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE...

Hi Guyz,
May here! Hope y'all fine and holding on well at your neck of the wood. Personally I'm so stressed with Uni projects. I'm trying to get things done before June comes cos you know moi wanna graduate this year if God permits. For the meantime, I nipped to Facebook during my 5mins break from doing assignments and saw this inspirational words on my dad's wall. After reading it, I just knew I had to share it with y'all. I've been single for some years now. Having been in a few failed relationships, sometimes I tend to question myself what I'm doing/did wrong and blaming myself for stuffs. At the back of my mind, I know sometimes it ain't my fault, but there is always that voice that says "What If" you forgave him, accepted him back, let him have his way, blablabla... Lord knows I've had my share of mess and cried myself to sleep sometimes, but I knew I couldn't continue my life like that. I've a son who needs a strong figure in his life and I'm trying my best to stay strong for him. With the help of God of course.

Missy Says: "someone is pouring out her feelings for the first time, wow! Is about time!! Proud of you May! Now wipe that tears off your face before I smack you...ha!"

May: "thank you!" [smiles]. Ait where was I before I was interrupted by Missy..hehe! Ok guyz, someone out there might be going through the same situation like me or generally just need a word of inspiration. Have a read through below and share your thoughts.

READ ON

If you are single, focus on being a better one instead of looking for someone better than your ex. A BETTER YOU will attract a BETTER NEXT. There is a purpose to every failed relationship. The purpose is not to encourage you to lower your expectations, but to raise your standards. NEVER cry for a failed relationship, just thank God that He has saved you from something terrible ahead. Be strong, give yourself time, know yourself better and someone will stand out on his or her own and he/she will love you unconditionally. If you have faith in God, you will not be crying forever, your broken heart will heal, your tears will dry and trust me one day you'll find someone who will love you with all your IMPERFECTIONS. Yeah that person will adore you THE WAY YOU ARE and he or she will be PROUD OF YOU. Just kindly be patient as you're praying to God.

Hope you're inspired. Thanks for visiting and your support.

God bless you..

THROWBACK TUESDAY...

INSPIRATION QUOTES OF THE WEEK...

  1. When a bird is alive it eats ants, but when a bird dies, ants eats it. Time and circumstance can change at any time, don't devalue or hurt anyone at your time. You may be powerful today but remember time is powerful than you. One tree makes a million matches sticks but when the time comes, one one matches stick is needed to burn a million trees. Respect and Value people.
  2. God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn't always allow us to see the exact timing of His plan. Although frustrating, not knowing the exact timing is what keeps us in the race. There're times  when we might give up if we knew how long it was going to take, but when we accept God's timing, we can learn to live in hope and enjoy our lives while God is working on our problems. We know that God's plan for our lives is good, and when we entrust ourselves to Him, we can  experience total happiness and peace.
  3. In this life, we meet people for a reason; either they're a blessing, an experience or a lesson. But in all don't stop loving and smiling.
  4. Never ignore the people who love and cares for you. Cuz one day, you may realize you've lost the moon while counting the stars.
  5. And they ask "is this not the son of Joseph the Carpenter?" The people didn't value or regard Jesus because he was born to poor parents, but He was Saviour to the world. Beautiful people I want to encourage and empower you today. If your families, friends or partner don't value or regard you, I want to remind you that if a rejected  stone can become a corner stone, then you don't have to look down on yourselves. Have faith and commit your ways to the Lord and He can change your lives or your situations around.
  6. Sometimes people try to expose what's wrong with you because they can't handle what's right about you. Stay true to yourselves and pay no mind to the haters.
  7. No matter what you are facing, keep pressing forward. Soon you'll look back and say with confidence, "That's why God put me there" [Pastor Hagee].

Hope you're fine and hope this inspires you as you continue this journey of life. Have a blessed day. Keep your heads up!

P:S.: Feel free to comment, advice, suggest or add me to your circle. I'll of course do the same...it's all about sharing and learning from one another. xoxo!

EASY BREEZY OUTFIT...

Who doesn't love an affordable easy breezy dress? Are you silent? Ah well I know I do...:-) Some of us can't afford a thousand something ensemble so we hit the Primarks, HM, Dorothy Perkins, Asos, etc. I think the most expensive clothing (dress) I've was £65 from House of Fraser. That dress has and is still collecting dust in my closet (wish I could return it now!).
Anywhos unto my outfit. Wore this to a friends "Marriage Ceremony". The dress only cost £10! Bingo!

MOTHER & SON DAY OUT...

The weather is gradually lightening up, but that doesn't mean I'm about to dress half naked to town. I ain't trying to catch any sickness at a crucial time like this...Hehehe!! So Uni is back on and y'all know what that means...stress to the highest degree! I'm trying my best not to let that get to me though, because stress can kill (oh yes!)
Anyways hope everybody is fine.

GLAM GLITZ ACCESSORIES...

These days it doesn't matter much about the clothes one wears - it's all about statement jewelries. Accessories have become massive lately and they're great for dressing up. These chunky, bold and glitzy necklaces/bracelets add glam to your outfit easily. Every lady need at least one or two of these statement accessories from Glam Glitz. MONOCHROME FRENZY...

The weather has been pretty cold and snowy even though it supposed to be Spring. In fact I don't know how the sun feels like anymore. But when it showed its face few days ago, I made use of it and went on a shopping spree...hehe!! Well window shopping but of course snatched few things. Don't judge me, its a gal's thang!!

Hi Guyz...how y'all doing?

I had no choice than to pop at Zara cos I was walking with a Zara-Freak (sorry Anita)!! Ended up trying on this strap heels which of course is on trend right now. I'm not a big fan of Zara shoes cos I find them uncomfortable, but this one right here is good.
Got the top from GEORGE and the rest of the ensembles are old.
Just in case Summer hits UK or I end up flying to Africa for a holiday, I got me a shade to block the sun/dust. haha!
Posing and then some!

What are you doing for the summer?

Loving Christina Milian ensemble on the cover of Unleash'd Magazine. Need me a Suit like this. Yummy!!

Sindiso Khumalo's loud graphic print collections (Spring & Summer 2013) are hitting me hard in the heart. As a black African woman and a massive lover of colours, this designs really cheers me up. Can't fault them! I love the simplicity but yet sophisticated side to them.

THE PEACEFUL MIND...

Hello Leute...
Ich hoffe, es geht euch gut und alles prima!!

Yea that is Deutsch and yea I miss my second home (Austria) :-) I guess I need a holiday asap!

Anywhos the above just means; Hello People...I hope y'all fine and everything is fine/ok.
I'm bubbly bubbly by the grace of our Lord who just died and rose again for you and I.

So I thought i share a word from Joyce Meyer with you. You probably know by now that I love this woman. I haven't met her before but every time I listen or read her teachings, I feel like she's speaking to me. But maybe I'm not the only one who is in need of encouraging words, that's why I always share her teachings here.

Please take a minute and read this. God bless you...

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. —Isaiah 26:3
What is it about nighttime that makes us more vulnerable to satanic attack? Is it because daylight is gone and it’s dark? Is there some kind of association between evil and the dark hours of night? We are usually able to cope with whatever happens to us during the day, but sometimes it’s a different story at night.
My theory is that by evening, most of us are tired and weary, and we just want to lie down, close our eyes, and drift into peaceful sleep. That is one of Satan’s favorite times to engage us in the battle for our minds. He knows that when we are exhausted and sleepy, we are not as resistant to his attacks. And just as we are about to drop off to sleep, he makes his move.
If we recognize that we’re more susceptible to the attack of the enemy at night, we can take steps to be better prepared to stand against him. Some of my friends tell me that they find it helps to meditate on scriptures such as Philippians 4:8, which tells us to think on good things—things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and excellent. Or they claim the promise of Isaiah 26:3: “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You….” These words from the Bible enable us to remain vigilant even in the dark hours of night. By using the Word of God, we can defeat every onslaught of the enemy—even in our weakest hours.
But if we have not armed ourselves with the Word and spent some time in prayer, we will fall for Satan’s plan when he brings to mind some troublesome event of the day, and asks, “Why did you say that? How could you have been so insensitive?”
He takes advantage of us when he knows we are weak and the most vulnerable to his influence. His goal is to disturb our thoughts and rob us of the peaceful rest that our bodies need. One of his tricks is to cause us to focus on the problems of the day, suggesting that we must immediately—in the middle of the night—determine the best way to settle the issue.
I experienced nights like this years ago, and I didn’t always win the battle. But as a mature Christian, I now know how to fight the good fight of faith. Here’s one thing I figured out a long time ago: It is not wise to make decisions in the middle of the night. There may be times when God demands an immediate surrender, and those are powerful moments in our lives. But most decisions can wait until the next day.
Perhaps we spoke hastily or didn’t respond kindly to someone’s need. The issues are often little things that we probably could have handled better. But as Satan wages his battle in the dark of night, those little things seem to take on importance and urgency—so much so that we believe we will never sleep unless we settle the issue immediately.
When Satan tries to pull that nighttime trick on me, I’ve learned to say, “I’ll deal with this issue in the morning, when the sun is shining. After I’ve rested, I can cope.” I’ve also learned that I can say, “Lord, I surrender this to You. Give me Your rest, Your peace, and help me to make the right decision in the morning.” That works for me!
Holy Spirit, thank You for being with me, for protecting me, and for guiding my life. When I face those dark nights and the enemy tries to attack my mind, protect me. I trust You and ask You to keep me in Your perfect peace. Amen.
Lemme know if you were inspired. Thanks for passing by this blog. Have a good evening.

LAID BACK AFRICAN WEAR LOOK...

Continuing my comfort theme look. My friends know that when they see me wearing this dress, it means I'm too lazy to dress up or I don't wanna step outta my house or I'm running late.
