LIFESTYLE: TGIF...

TGIF beauties!
I hope you had a great week.
God has been good to us. My son and I had another getaway to visit some family members I haven't seen for over twelve years. It was definitely a great trip to bond, relax and was much needed. With the kids on holiday, my mission was to keep my son busy as much as possible so he doesn't get bored. - And I believe I've accomplished it. My bank account is lighter, but my son is worth every penny. Ha!
How have you kept your kids busy over the holidays?
With the holidays comes excessive eating. I've been stuffing my face and it is safe to say that I've put on the weight I worked hard to lose. I'm not a happy bunny at all (insert a sad face here...).
Currently, I'm obsessed with this sunglasses from TSG. Aside it being so chic and stylish, the quality is impeccable. Postage is super fast and it came well packed which are great signs of a great shop. If you're after unique sunnies, do check the shop out.

How's your summer going?

*Basic ice cream, but the most expensive ice cream I've ever bought in my life. Never again! Lol!*

Thank God its Friday and wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Off to check the posts I missed.

FALL IN STYLEWE...

With the most colourful season slowly creeping upon us, it is time to start reshuffling and transitioning into those pieces that will make life better. - Fashion-wise! From ponchos, coats, vests, blazers to bomber jackets, today the focus is on those pieces that will keep you wrapped up when the temperature starts to act up.
When Stylewe contacted me about collaborating, I knew talking about their outerwears would be appropriate. Aside the obvious reason that Fall is near, the brand's widest collection of outerwears are too good to not shine a light on.
Investing in a good outwear means you can wear it for long and it will keep you cosy when the temperature drops. From the everyday relaxed ones to a versatile number, the style is endless.
The reviews from customers on the brand's blog and YouTube channel are full of positivity which can only mean that they're doing something right.
The class and sophistication that some of StyleWe's Vests and Cropped Jackets embody is pure chicness. There's a wide range of unique and vintage pieces that will awaken your fashion taste buds. - Definitely worth a check out!
Ponchos and Capes are perfect for transitioning to early autumn when the temperature isn't all that chilly. Their effortless and lightweight vibe will  keep you stylish this season. Layer them over any outfit and you're good to slay on.
Bomber Jackets have been trending for a minute. With their comfort and laid-back feel, what is there not to like. They give that sporty vibe which is perfect for dressing up or down.

Have you started preping for Fall? What is your Fall fashion staple?
Have a wonderful weekend, beauties.

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: RANDOMNESS...

I don't know if this post can be deemed motivational Monday any more as the day is over here in the UK. In consideration of the rest of the world, we'll overlook that and still proceed. Ha!
Better late than never (as the saying goes).
Today has been one of the most stressful and worst Mondays ever. Over the weekend, I booked a few days getaway for my son and I in Birmingham, as we couldn't travel to Austria as planned. We got here today, but the hustle of finding the hotel alone was a nightmare. - After a long ride in a bus to where I thought the hotel was only to find out that the city has four streets with the same name, but different postcodes, - waiting over thirty minutes for a taxi, - entering a hotel room which was well put together, but dirty floor and the list goes on....  Whilst I'm trying to be mad at all of this, the sound of my son snoring away as I lay comfortably in a single bed typing this post just urges me to be grateful. It could have been worse.
Lately I've been training my mind and myself to think/see the positive in everything. Yes, even when it clearly looks like this holiday is going to exceed the budget I intended. Ha! Once there's life, there's hope that another money will miraculously pop up somewhere. Faith!
Quotes and daily devotional readings has kept me going for the past couple of weeks. Every time I feel down or gear towards unnecessary thinking, those are my battle weapons. They're really  uplifting and seeking motivation is a habit that we need daily as humans.
One thing I've also been doing is looking into home decors. Following my de-cluttering therapy, I want to add some bits and bobs to some areas around the house. I want a change of house actually, but since the time hasn't come yet, I'll make the best of the now till the change happens. Nothing fancy though!

What about you? Hope your Monday is/was better than mine. Have you been into anything new lately?

Wishing y'all a blessed week.

OOTD: NO BOYFRIEND NO PROBLEMS...

Happy new week, beauties!
Howdy and how was your weekend?
Mine was lovely (thanks for asking). I attended a friend's wedding on Saturday which was great and on Sunday, I kept myself busy by decluttering. Currently, I'm trying to put things in order in my house. I've always been a minimalistic person, but an emotional hoarder which isn't good. Lately I've been feeling claustrophobic and decluttering has definitely been freeing.
In order news, by the grace of God I'm done with the teaching diploma. I'm excited for the next chapter.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

On the #ootd, -This is actually a late post, because this is the outfit I wore to my birthday dinner in June. The busyness of life!
Lets talk about this tee, shall we? Ha! The fashion gods wouldn't have forgiven me if I had pass by a tee with such a cheeky and fun message. It was definitely a talk of the night at the dinner. Teamed together with a fiery red skirt was a match made in fashion heaven. The scalloped lace-up sandals has to be one of the most comfortable shoes yet. Love it!

CITROEN PRESENTS DS CARS FASHION SHOW...

 Happy new month, Beauties!
Hope you had a lovely weekend.

I had the opportunity of hosting a fashion show for Citroen on behalf of House of Solo. The purpose of the fashion show was the introduction of their DS cars. While the organisation of the show was a success, the attendance was quite disappointing. Most of the invited guests of the brand didn't show up. I was disappointed that they didn't do enough to advertise the event which was meant to benefit them as a brand. On the other side, I was impressed by most of the independent designers that showcased their collections. There're definitely talented/creative fashion designers out there. Most of the clothes can be purchased here, but the site is down for reconstruction.
About House of Solo, some of you might be familiar with it, because we happen to follow each other on Instagram and you've heard me talk about it. - But for y'all who aren't familiar, please stay tune for a special post about us. Thank you :)
Feast your eyes on some of the few photos I got.

Have a fabulous week!
