LIFESTYLE: HELLO AUTUMN...

It seems like the ever anticipated autumn is officially here in the UK. Ever anticipated because the buzz about it from autumn lovers has been nothing but, loud. Anyways the autumnal weather of rain, cold breeze and early darkness has started engulfing us with their presence. I thought it was going to be a slow start but, alas, I thought wrong. While I love sweaters, chic statement coats and all that autumn/winter ensemble, I'm a summer girl at heart.
For a little autumn comfort,
  • I can't wait to break out some of my favourites sweaters, blazers and layer the hell outta them!
  • Lately I find myself dozing off in the afternoons due to the fact that sleep has somehow hidden itself from me during the night. Could that be insomnia? Due to this the plan is to rest whenever spare time presents itself. Ha! Any recommendations or help on battling insomnia?
  • Still practising mindfulness and working on my relationship with God. It is not easy but, I can tell you that I feel lighter and free ever since I started doing this. A weight has been lifted off my shoulder. It is the feeling of talking to a God that doesn't discriminate but, love us unconditionally. He chooses the foolish and weak things of the world to shame the strong/wise.
*Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17*

  • I'm also working on living healthy where ever possible. Every little step counts. I'm not hard on myself anymore, just going with the flow.

The collage is a collection of how my autumn/winter is going to look like really. All images are pinned from pinterest where there's inspiration from every angle.
Hope the week has been good to you. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
How's your autumn looking like?

AFRICA TITBITS: 2016 GLITZ STYLE AWARDS...

The struggle is real out here guys. On top of being back to the busy life, I'm out of a photographer now hence the luck of ootd posts. I'm trying to sort out something, so hopefully I'll be in full swing soon.
So how y'all doing? How's life treating you?

Today I come to you with something from across the pond, Ghana. Few days ago, the Glitz Style Awards was held in the country and this is an event that creates a platform for the fashion industry and celebrate creative talents in Ghana. There was a lot of celebrities on the carpet, but I want to share three of them that stood out.
First is Joselyn Dumas who's hips never lie. She killed it in a fabulous gown by Sheela Garbrah. I must say I'm impressed that this gown was made by a Ghanaian designer. I love that the celebrities are celebrating the designers from their country.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Nana Akua Addo sparkled in a heavy beaded gown by Leoalmodal. The gown which was made by a Philippine designer was embellished with 1,323,000 Swarovski crystals. Now that's one hella gown. She won the best dressed celebrity of the night. Well deserved?
Another celebrity that slayyed was, Zynnell Lydia Zuh. She won the Most Stylish Movie Star. The dress is by Sima-Brew. Don't you love the vavavom vibe!
*DISCLAIMER: I don't owe none of these images.*

Out of the three, who's your pick for Best Dressed Celebrity category?

FRIDAY LUVIN: SHOES WISHLIST AND CHIT-CHAT...

No matter how many shoes a lady has, she's never satisfied. Call it greedy or whatever, but it is what it is! They hurt our foot time and time again, and sometimes break our bank accounts, but we still love em.
Ladies and shoes are like two tits in a push-up bra (excuse my French). Lol!
We just can't do without them.
Luvin anything lately?

*Links to the shoes just in case you love them as me.*

So how has your week been?
I've had a really productive week trying to put things in order in our home, stocking our cabinets with foodstuffs and getting myself in the right mindset. Next week marks the beginning of a busy life as the kids are back to school and I'm back to work. I'm quite nervous as I'm starting a teaching role at the school that inspired me to go into teaching. It is a school for children with complex learning difficulties (autistic spectrum) and disabilities which is quite challenging, but also very rewarding. I've been praying for the grace of God to see me through this new chapter, because I can't do it without Him. Say a prayer for me too. Thanks!

Thank God its Friday and have a lovely weekend.
